Just thought all the fans out there might like to know that there's a video clip of Nick and Pete Parks in Warhorse on the DP site www.highwaystar.com. Go to the home page and click on "Good Morning" in the left hand column. Cheers Martin

Good to see Nick back with the Boys at Esquires last night, well worth the trip down fron Lutterworth, Leicestershire for Sal and me and for our bass player and wife to come up from Dunmow in Essex. Their first G.O.B's gig and they loved every minute. Thanks to the rest of the guys time chatting. See you all again soon at the Union I hope. Well done the Sid Fund, a very good and worthwhile night.

Hi Nick - pity that the Vienna show was postponed, we all wanted to come there from Poland to see you in action. I hope we'll see you in November as announced. Anyway - your website is amazing, with lots of unique pictures and stories. Your bio is a fantastic reading, cannot wait for next chapters. CHEERS!!! PS. Recently I heard "Chasing Shadows" - your bass line is indeed a gas!

Hi Nick. Just wanted to let you know that I've been featuring your work with Purple, Warhorse (especially!!),Fandango and Quartermass on a number of prog/hard rock shows I've hosted on various national radio stations here in South Africa for many years. The two Warhorse albums are amongst my favourite albums of all time. Thanks for the really fantastic music - I featured Warhorse again on my show recently and the response was great, as always! Please visit my websites when you can - Warhorse is well represented! (www.rock.co.za/rockit and www.dinosaurdays.co.za) All the best. Leon.

Hi Nick and co. Glad the site is so popular. Any plans to bring in a Discussion Forum or similar? It would be interesting to talk about the merits of Burning, Candice Larene (classic), She Was My Friend, et al, as well as the DP Mk.1 numbers. Hope you've recovered from the fall, and that Mac Poole is better too. Cheers!

Nick recently found this site, wish to say was into purple from 74 onwards and so only heard your input later on, still to this day play shades more than any original album, and the recent line ups without Lord/Blackmore are a travesty, its good to see players like yourself keeping the music live and if you tour the north east with the Good Old Boys will def see band. I suppose with what happened with purple you had every right to be bitter but have been impressed with dignified way you have dealt in interviews with that period of your life.

Hi Nick, I bought "Warhorse" first album back then when it was released, but being down here in NZ the second album never seemed to make it to these shores, it's been a while since then, but cruising the 'net recently, I took a look around - and sure enough there it was!! Red Sea! no doubt no waiting or considering - I had to get it! it's playing now as I write this! You guys put out some amazing rock back then, just a pity the group didn't carry on - you'd have been on the Legend list of 70's groups! (maybe you actually are!) I wonder what the chances are you you guys getting together and having a bit of a jam around and put a 2006/2007 CD out? Ha~ no it's not as crazy an idea as you might think! remember the guys from "Juicy Lucy" back around the same time period ? Glen Ross Campbell , Ray Owen... etc etc ... different lineup now, but they've got a new album coming out any day now!. Could you guys rock it out as you used to? ( that's a challenge by the way - case ya didn't pick up on it! ) No matter - all the very best.... I'll still continue to play Warhorse 1, and now Red Sea. and enjoy them. Stu'

I love the mark 1 Deep Purple. I think you and Rod done a great job for the band. Purple and Rainbow`s biggest down fall was the continuing change of personal. I believe Purples legacy would mirror that of Zeppelin had they kept loyalty with fellow musicans you and Rod are the best. Shame Rod hasn`t stayed with music. I wish he could be pardoned for the fake purple mistake (1980). Anyway take care and keep rocking! Thank you for the music and allowing fans like me access to you through this site.
