Happy Birthday!
Ian 'Nelly' Engels wrote on November 2, 2008 at 9:08 am
HI Nick, just a note to wish you a great birthday (your bus pass is just around the corner, mine is on order already) Nathaniel had to do a project on a person that he looks up to and of his own choice, he chose you!! You are more known here than I thought as his teacher 'knows' you and considers him a very lucky boy to have you as his godfather. Think about you often, Loads of love from all the family. have a great day.

Hi Nick!Thats right its Ashley Freeman! The eldest son of the late and great Rod William Freeman!Just thought i would drop you a line.Your name has been coming up lately due to the imminent release of the film Telstar.I do hope that you are all well.Myself and my mom Chrissie are coming to London this Saturday for an advance screening of the film at the odeon in Leicester square but i understand you have a gig on the Saturday so won't be able to make it.It still astounds me that this is happening more than 25 years after the tragic and sudden death of my father.I still miss him everyday and wonder if he would have really made it.I know that you were one of his best friends and it must have been hard for you to.My mom always tells me how much you loved him.It would be lovely if you could find the time to contact me although i am sure you are very busy.I would love to meet up with you sometime as i am sure you have some fantastic stories to tell.I don't really remember that much as i was only 7.Anyway i hope you are well and hope the gig goes well Saturday.God bless Nick. Ashley Freeman

Hey Nick! "The Playground" is the Best! It has such a catchy bass riff. When I think of Nick Simper, "The Playground" comes to mind. What a great tune!! Keep Rockin' Tommy G

Hola amigo Nick I just have to say that I love your music in Deep Purple... but i haven't find any of the Warhorse's albums here. I hope to see you one day in a concert . Greetings from Mexico. ''And the bird has flown''

Hi Nick, best regards from Austria. I have to admit that I have lost track for several decades. I am just exchanging LP's for CD's, but yours are or better have been for several years not easy to get hold of. One of the latest buys has been the Warhorse #1 (remastered), the Fandango CD's have not been in print for several years. It's great that they are available again now. I had the Slipstreaming LP, but obviously don't have it anymore. But what I am sure of is, that on the #1 Lp there has been a wonderful instrumental, which, as I believe, was titled "The Stallion". Am I totally stupid or has something happened to that title, has it been omitted on the CD or only renamed????? Please give me an advice how and where I can get that song?? Best regards, Hartmut

Hi Nick I wonder if you remember me, I lived in Ruislip and meet you through Pat who used to deliver bananas to your shop in Ealing road. I bought a precision base off of you, the black one with the telecaster neck. I spoke to you at the anglers in West drayton many years ago and told you I now have a Rickenbacker, you said thats great if you use it as a cricket bat lol Remember me?

Just want to say thank you all for the great evening in Watford - last night ( I was the ageing groupie with those young Germans Axel and Rudy)and young Steve of course. You are a great band and truly lovely people too. Hope Southend went well. Lovely to meet you and I hope to see you again somewhere. Come further north sometime. It is quite friendly past Watford, really.

You were outstanding with your instrumental on Saturday with the Good Old Boys. Patti Boulaye was stunning- are you doing any other gigs together?

Hi good *** boys ! I don't dare using the word "old" in the same sentence with you guys, because you're lightyears away from being old. You do rock way more than any people in their twenties! Thank you so much for that wonderful show in Vienna. What a kick ass performance! A band full of masters of their respective instruments playing together so powerful and tight, no wanking-off effects included. Pure Rock'n'Roll at its best. Very hard to find these days. Outstanding talents you are. And, on top of that, extremely nice people, as we were allowed to learn later. Thank you for an unforgettable night and for sharing your time with us. See you somewhere down the road, that's for sure. God bless you all. Cheers, @xel
